Monster Miniatures for Common RPG Encounters
Teilen
Plan By Location
Common RPG encounters become easier when miniatures are grouped by location. Caves need beasts and lurking monsters. Graveyards need undead. Roads need bandits, wildlife, travelers, and ambush pieces. Dungeons need guards, traps, strange creatures, and a boss threat.
Do Not Over-Specialize Too Early
A monster miniature does not need to match the stat block perfectly. At the table, scale, silhouette, and mood matter most. A creepy creature can stand in for several monsters if it communicates danger clearly.
Start With Useful Categories
Begin with enemy miniatures, then add scatter terrain and bases to make encounters read faster.
