Digital D&D Downloads New DMs Should Print First
Share
Digital downloads are most useful when they remove friction during play. A new Dungeon Master does not need a binder full of paper. Start with tools that answer repeat questions, track changing information, and keep the session moving.
Print A Session Note Template
Good notes keep locations, NPCs, clues, treasure, and unresolved choices in one place. The goal is not to script the session. The goal is to avoid losing important details when players do something unexpected.
Use Trackers For Moving Parts
Initiative, hit points, spell slots, conditions, quests, factions, and clocks are easy to forget in the middle of a session. Trackers give that information a home so your brain can stay with the table.
Keep Cheat Sheets Visible
New DMs benefit from quick rules reminders. Conditions, travel, actions, cover, concentration, and common DCs are easier to use when they are not buried inside a book or browser tab.
Choose Downloads By Problem
Do not buy downloads just because they look pretty. Buy the one that solves your current table problem: combat speed, spell tracking, prep structure, or player onboarding.
